Notice of the Revision to the Kyoto City Accommodation Tax

Please be advised that, for stays from 1 March 2026 onward, the Kyoto City accommodation tax rate will be revised as outlined below.

*The accommodation tax is calculated based on the room-only rate per person, per night.
Accordingly, the taxable amount is the accommodation charge excluding any meal charges and other incidental charges.
*This tax is separate from the room rate and will be collected at check-out.
While we understand that this revision may place an additional burden on our guests, please note that the accommodation tax is determined by Kyoto City and is used to support tourism-related initiatives.
