A special exhibition by Chiso is currently on view in our gallery space for the enjoyment of our guests.

Founded in 1555 at its present location in Karasuma Sanjo, Kyoto, Chiso has a history spanning more than 470 years. Rooted in Kyoto's rich cultural heritage, the house of Chiso has created a wide range of dyed and woven textiles, drawing on the aesthetics and techniques of each era.

We invite you to appreciate a part of the knowledge, craftsmanship, and refined sense of beauty cultivated and perfected over centuries.
