Kana, Japan's uniquely developed cursive script, evolved not only as a means of communication, but also as an expression of beauty through the art of writing itself. Through brush, ink, and paper, Mr. Ueta expresses both the beauty of kana and the spiritual depth within Japanese aesthetics.
